First knitting project finished this year, supercomfy green socks.
The pattern used is Inglenook Cabled House Socks by Brooklyn Tweed.
Thinking about maybe making myself this one, this one or this one next........
oh and i HUGELY LOVE this blanket BUT the last blanket i knitted almost "killed" me...
....ha-ha....so i am not going to be stupid and start on a new one.......it takes tons of patience to finish blankets and that amount of patience i sadly do not have.....
I saw this movie with a friend a little while back, one of the best movies i have seen for a long time!!! I both cried and laughed......and the soundtrack was wonderful....a movie that had everything...
While eating my breakfast today i noticed two new types of birds eating from the feeders outside my kitchen window. I haven't been able to find them in my birdbook so i don't know their names yet.....one of them were blue and grey...so incredibly pretty...
Now i am off to the kitchen to bake some cinnamon buns.......yuuuuum...*smiling*....

what lovely socks :)
ReplyDeletehaPPy day wishes, crystal
Your socks are beautiful. I love both the colour and the pattern. That blanket you posted a link to is amazing. I'm working on an afghan right now and since its lap-size I hope to have it done soon.
ReplyDeleteI also enjoy watching birds at the feeder even though we haven't had too many so far this winter. I hope you're able to identify your visitors but I'm sure you'll enjoy them even if you don't know what they're called. :o)
And cinnamon buns sound so delicious especially on a winter's day. Have a blessed week!
Vibeke,
ReplyDeleteLove you.
Not sure what else to say, you are such a treat.
And I must find that movie!
hiV,
ReplyDeleteI've been watching your proposals seem very advanced for me!;)
I have knitted two blankets, Granny blanket some time ago, but in crochet, is very slow to knit , but when you can just use is very rewarding!
the socks are beautiful!sure you're really warm with them.
hugs
what beautiful socks! your knitting always amazes me.
ReplyDeletei was wearing the ones you made me yesterday (they are my favorites and actually my most durable). i opt for the nightingale vest, i absolutely adore it. i feel like i wouldn't have the patience for it, but you never really know until you try i guess...
i want to knit a blanket, not sure what kind, but i do know i want it to be big enough to cover the bed (so i guess a generous queen size). i have been doing nothing by knitting. i am trying to finish some legwarmers that are a gift, although i have been working on my sweater today. i also have a few other things on needles as well ;)
hope you are well!
xo

hi v, i am SO happy about this post:) first, i absolutely love the green socks, they are fabulous.wish i could do something like that, but i seriously lack the talent that you obviously have! secondly, i loved that film, it`s a great film. my son has seen it ,too and thinks it is great. and then you top all that with cinnamon buns:) sheer heaven!love from berlin, anja xx
ReplyDeleteLove your socks!!
ReplyDeleteThat movie looks so beautiful, one i will love to watch as well! Thank you for showing it :)
Lovely legwarmers cum socks - they look fabulous and made me decide that green is definitely my favorite color! Then I clicked to the blanket that you (are going to) make and decided that maybe I like multi-colored knits even more...
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can take a picture of the birds ? I was away for three weeks and missed hearing bird songs... and writing an e-mail to travel North...
First off missy, I always mean to tell you that I like your white washed floors.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see The Intouchables.
And the socks are beautious!
oh...knitting socks. how i wish i could do that!
ReplyDeletei have been to this movie twice and we have it at home since last christmas :) as well as the soundrack. wonderful. timeless.
another treasure in a world full of crime movies and daily soaps is the movie "Best Exotic Marigold Hotel".

Love your socks! I have never knit any since I am usually in sandals or sneakers with white cotton socks! Plus, I confess to being intimidated by them!
ReplyDeleteYou're such a piece of loveliness dear V.!
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous cable socks- and that colour looks amazing on you- you did a fabulous job on them !!!
All that crazy texture on the vest made my eyes pop. Wow! Spectacular.
You'll turn into a very seductive sea creature if you wear this one!
Will check out that movie.
I really want a bird house this year... And so does my cat. haha. xoxo
...jeg har set filmen to gange og købte straks soundtracket. Skøn film, skøn musik som gav glæde i maven. Utrolig livsbekræftende. Skønne, skønne sokker!
