To my dear readers ("sign up" now closed).



I am sitting in the beautiful autumn sun at my veranda sipping to a cup of rose tea, a gift from one of my dear readers, while writing this post. On my cardigan there is a pretty rose brooch, made by another of my dear readers. Yesterday a lovely handwritten letter from a sweet reader of my blog were waiting for me when i opened my letter box and today a wonderful e-mail popped up at my inbox when i turned on the computer ....i could continue to share with you so many different ways that you dear readers in your own and unique way are making me feel special, happy and richly blessed ♡
I can for sure say that having this space without YOUR generous and warm hearted feedback would for me be a very sad and lonely thing.........the words you write me in your comments are ALL having a special place in my heart! I feel that sometimes words end up beeing to small or simple for describing the depthness of what i want to express and this is one of those times but i hope that you all can feel some of the gratefulness i have towards you and how special you all are to me.....

I would LOVE to put together a special thank-you-appreciation-of-my-dear-readers present this autumn. It will contain something soft and warm made my me, something sweet, something soothing, something..... and something.......*smiling* and also some other nice things. If you think this would be a parcel that you will like you can leave me a comment (and those of you without own blogs remember to leave with your e-mail address) before the end of thursday and i will draw/announce the receiver on friday.
In the comment i would like you to tell me a few things so i can make this present extra special for you:

Tomorrow i have invited a lovely bouquet of girls in different ages over for some knitting and a evening meal,
the youngest is 8 years old and the oldest is soon 70. I am so looking forward to it......autumn with it's darker and colder evenings is a season that i find it extra nice to get together inside and do something creative. Ooohh i guess i have to stop writing now and start on doing some tidying........it looks like a bomb has been dropped in our house...*laughing*...

  3. Your blog for me is place I can find calming, inspiring world and feel cosiness I need so much. Sometimes I think it would be lovely to have a friend like you that I can visit to gain some positive energy :) Really.

  5. Hi! I've been a silent reader for a while. I find your blog soothing and calming. A parcel from you sounda like the perfect surprise...

    My favourite colors: all shades of red (wine, auburn, maroon) and brown (ochre, umber, tan, etc.)
    My favourite scents: seasalt, lavender, nutmeg, wood.
    My favourite tastes: coffee, honey and chocolate.

    your blog is always a treat...

    i always have such a difficult time answering such questions with an absolute, it always just depends on the situation, the materials, the offerings, the time of year, etc...

    however, i do like earthy tones and bright tones, especially when they are artfully combined. color (as i am sure you have guessed) plays such an important role in everything i do, it is a direct reflection of my mood and state of being.
    i like subtle scents, things that are fresh and sweet, yet still earthy as well. i do like a good quality rose scent, i also like the smell of the woods and when it is about to snow.
    in terms of tastes, i am partial to salty and sweet.

    i hope you are enjoying the change of season and i hope you are having wonderful weather to delight in!

  7. I love hearing beautiful words from readers as well. I recently had a very long, heartfelt message written on my blog. Happy to know that people are getting something from reading or photos. It is very kind of you to share so much with your readers. Lately for this time of late summer going into fall, my favourite colour combination is orange and purple (I made a treasury here: http://www.thepaperbutterfly.net/2012/08/amber-violet-august-treasury.html) and I love the smell of cinnamon in the fall- chai lattes and apple pie.     Jeg forsøkte å tenke hvor lenge jeg har fulgt deg
    her i bloggverden. Uten noe konkret, kom jeg fram
    til at det må være flere år. I hvert fall 4 år.
    Håper det forteller deg hvor mye jeg koser meg med
    det du publiserer.

    Gul i ulike nyanser går igjen hos meg.
    Duften av krydderurter, syrin og alle mulige sorter av te.
    Nyter å kunne trekke inn duften av te og velge ut hvilken sort jeg skal gå for til meg selv eller kanskje til en venninne.
    Smaken av pesto, bringebær, gulrotkake.

  12. Thank You for sharing your lovely pictures and thoughts in this space!

    Would love something put together by you. Here are my favourites, mostly and especially this time of the year: the colour of figs and fig leaves, the scent of figs and fig trees and the taste of figs of various kinds. Other times of the years I would probably also add chocolates to each category and perhaps clean green teas.

    I feel the same about it as you, i met some really beautiful people, am writing letters again ( i loved this as a teenager!) & feel like the world has come a bit closer...
