A "makes me happy today" post
-Something about this photo that makes me in such a good mood (so sorry for not remembering the source of this one!!!)
-Having my favourite tea in my cup again after beeing empty for it for such a looooong time: I LOVE (and are addicted to) Green of London by Le Palais Des Thes.
-Found a knitting project that i think i want to make for myself this autumn. It is a long time since i have made something for myself now because i enjoy so much knitting for other people...*smiling*...... Just sent a parcel with some knitted "goodies" to a beautiful soul the other day, excited to get to know if she likes them!
-Not raining today-hurrayhurrayhurraaaaayyyyyyy!!!
-Finally planted a climbing hortensia in my garden, wished for one for ages. GROW BABY GROW!!
-Raspberry season has started here now. Going to eat tons of it, my favourite berry! Maybe also make some jam with it.....
-The dates for a visit from a far away friend is coming closer.
-The other day my mother found the recipe on my grandmothers delicious kringle, think i will try to bake it later today. Makes me think about happy childhood memories together with my grandmother. After i have grown up i notice that i am quite like her in many ways..... For me both of my grandmothers were like precious jewels to me.....i cherished them deeply......so grateful for the time i got to spend with them!!
-Think it is very nice that many of you want to join my book-away.....makes me glad. Look forward to "draw" the reciever...
-Finding the most beautiful poem in an e-mail this morning written by a lovely blogger that is going to be guest posting here soon.
-Organic oatmeal sprinkeld with lots of berries are ready to be eaten now,
see you later.....*smiling*....
AN UPDATE:
-Found the lovliest letter in my post-box today that i read outside while sitting under the branches from a big old tree. My dear friend had also put with a pretty ginko leaf in the letter, it's now hanging on my wall.
-When my sweet husband came home from work today he had bought with some fresh strawberries and raspberries...yummmm...
By the way: What makes you happy these days??

what makes me really happy are simple things, like you.
ReplyDeleteTea, knit, music and slow hot days.
Being here on a Monday in July, alive and well, listening to the rain, reading your blog, asking myself questiones I can't answer - those are the little, yet very important, things that makes me happy.

I am including the link to a You Tube video about loving grandmothers and their grandchildren. I saw the young woman who sings this perform in June a year ago and then again just a few weeks ago. The song still brings tears to my eyes, not matter how many times I've heard it. I hope that you can open it. If not - go to You Tube and type in "You Are Royalty to Me" by Ellis
