Wishes and dreams....

My dear friend Nausika sent me these beautiful photos from a trip to the sea a little while back, i have been dreaming away in the beauty of them many times....
Looking out at the endless openness of the sea always brings me this inner feeling of peace.......and each time also a rebirth of my belief in possibility.....it is like the waves from the sea washes through my mind and soul....purifies and refreshes my whole beeing....

I have been thinking a lot about wishes lately...about dreams....everything from the tiny ones to the more bigger ones...
I am going to share some of mine, some are actually transforming into reality this summer...some
maybe later...or maybe never...some are probably also going to change and new ones is going to be born....and some of them i find myself already living...

My own vintage polaroid camera, taking ferry trips again, visit the fjords and the mountains, meet some of my far away friends for the first time, taking a celtic pilgrimage, to live in love, beauty and humbleness, taking ceramic courses, penpals, seeking and holding on to the truths of life, visit finland, learn the art of weaving, a garden full of old trees.....
What about you?........*smiling*.....

Breakage

By Mary Oliver

I go down to the edge of the sea.
How everything shines in the morning light!
The cusp of the whelk,
the broken cupboard of the clam,
the opened, blue mussels,
moon snails, pale pink and barnacle scarred—
and nothing at all whole or shut, but tattered, split,
dropped by the gulls onto the gray rocks and all the moisture gone.
It's like a schoolhouse
of little words,
thousands of words.
First you figure out what each one means by itself,
the jingle, the periwinkle, the scallop
       full of moonlight.

Then you begin, slowly, to read the whole story.

  7. I love this post and I can already picture you living out those wonderful dreams of yours. Something inside me tells me you will fulfill them. I also love the idea of setting these dreams 'free', of sharing them. Once you start voicing them, they will start to become true!

some of mine are: writing a complete short-story, maybe even a small book of them, trusting my own body again, finding a job I love, making new, meaningful connections with others and most of all: a quiet place to live, with lots of light and - guess what - old trees in the garden :-)

p.s. I read Astrid & Veronika on holiday. It was so beautiful! I really felt your presence with me and it made me smile and smile and smile.

  11. i wish you patience and perseverance in bringing all your dreams to life, dear v!

i wish for a small place of my own with flowers in every room, for the sound of birdsong welcoming me to the day and singing me to sleep at night, i wish to learn the names of the trees and flowers (i have forgotten so much since i was a child!), to always remain grateful, i wish to fulfil my dream to visit scandinavia and the land of the norse gods, to learn to play guitar and to knit properly...it goes on and on..
